Prisons are not just a place where people are sentenced for their crimes. These are places that serve society and aim to give people a second chance to have a better life after returning to their regular lives. Working in a detention centre is a very demanding and responsible occupation, therefore employees of such places should be given maximum support from their superiors. They need to feel and understand that they're part of a team, and can always count on support when they need it.
The task of the designed document is to convey to the Scottish Prison Services employees how important their work is, that they are part of an organised structure that cares about them and is interested in their problems. It was important for the management to outline their plans for the future in a clean and organised fashion. We used diagonal shapes in the design in order to represent SPS dynamic nature, an ability of the organisation to evolve if needed.
